Where we Start

Our Journey

My love for coffee began in the lush hillsides of Jamaica, where my childhood summers were spent at my grandparents’ home surrounded by their coffee garden. Each afternoon around 2 PM, the passing train would signal coffee time. My grandmother Anita would prepare a big pot of coffee using beans grown right on their land, serving it alongside homemade pastries as neighbors gathered on the porch.
What I witnessed wasn’t just coffee consumption – it was community building. These daily gatherings fostered connections, shared wisdom, and created moments of joy centered around a humble cup of coffee.
After moving to the United States, I continued exploring coffee culture by working in various coffee shops, always searching for that same sense of connection I felt on my grandparents’ porch. I studied brewing techniques, equipment variations, and bean origins, gradually transforming from casual enthusiast to dedicated specialist.
Coffee Puns was born from this intersection of technical knowledge and the genuine happiness that coffee brings. I believed there was room for a coffee resource that didn’t take itself too seriously while still providing expert-level guidance.

Our Services

Beyond our educational content, we offer personalized home espresso machine setup services. We recognized that many coffee enthusiasts invest in quality equipment but lack the knowledge to optimize it properly. Our in-home setup and training service bridges this gap, helping people get the most from their coffee investments.
Whether we’re helping you remotely through our detailed guides or sitting in your kitchen calibrating your grinder, our goal remains consistent: making exceptional coffee more accessible and enjoyable for everyone.

Garnet is an Self-certified (lol) coffee specialist with over 6 years of experience across the coffee industry. After working in specialty cafés. I create Coffee Puns to share coffee knowledge in a more approachable format.
When not obsessing over extraction ratios or testing new equipment, you’ll find him exploring local coffee shops, experimenting with brewing methods, or absorbing an excessive amount of details about coffee processing techniques.
